We view our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) as the clinical architects of your child’s journey. They don’t just oversee a file; they provide hands-on clinical leadership to ensure your child receives care that comes straight from the heart.
The role of a BCBA in our programs includes:
- Designing a Personalized Therapy Plan: The BCBA begins with a functional behavior assessment (FBA) to identify your child’s unique strengths and needs. They then create a written treatment plan with measurable goals for skills like communication, social interaction, and daily routines.
- Clinical Supervision and Oversight: While Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) provide the daily 1:1 therapy, our BCBAs provide the clinical oversight required to keep the plan on track. They regularly review session data and observe sessions to ensure the teaching methods are effective and precise.
- Data-Driven Adjustments: Our BCBAs treat the treatment plan as a living document. By reviewing data at least weekly, they can pivot quickly—tweaking a teaching approach if progress stalls or advancing a goal if your child masters a skill faster than expected.
- Parent Coaching and Partnership: We believe you are a vital partner in this process. Your BCBA provides family training and caregiver coaching to help you use the same strategies at home, ensuring that the progress made during sessions translates into real-life independence for your child.
