Heart Core ABA – ABA Therapy

Social skills groups for autism are designed to support individuals across various developmental stages, ranging from toddlers to adolescents. At Heart Core ABA, programs are tailored to meet the specific needs of different age groups:

• Toddlers and Preschoolers: Early intervention sessions often begin as early as 2 to 3 years of age. These sessions focus on foundational skills such as basic greetings, sharing, and simple turn-taking using soft toys.

• School-Age Children: For elementary-aged children, the focus shifts toward more complex interactions, including cooperative art projects, group games, and classroom readiness skills like raising hands or following group instructions.

• Adolescents: Older children and teens engage in advanced social scenarios, such as resolving conflicts, navigating group dynamics, and practicing complex problem-solving.

To ensure effective peer interaction, groups are typically age-matched and limited to small sizes of 4 to 6 children. This allows facilitators to provide personalized attention while helping participants practice age-appropriate social cues in a relatable environment.
