What is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst?
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a master’s-level clinician who is the cornerstone of high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. These professionals are certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and are responsible for designing, overseeing, and adjusting the personalized therapy plans that help children build real-life skills.
To earn this credential, a professional must meet rigorous standards, including:
- Earning a master’s degree in behavior analysis or a closely related field from an accredited program.
- Completing a verified course sequence covering essential topics like ethical conduct and behavioral assessment.
- Accumulating up to 2,000 hours of supervised fieldwork under the guidance of an active BCBA.
- Passing a rigorous national exam to demonstrate their mastery of behavior-analytic knowledge.
At our practice, our BCBAs lead small, consistent teams to ensure real progress and real connection. They conduct initial assessments, provide BCBA assessment and supervision for our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and offer parent coaching to ensure care is consistent across all environments. Whether providing In-Home, School-Based, or Center-Based ABA Therapy, our BCBAs focus on delivering care that comes straight from the heart.
