Heart Core ABA – ABA Therapy

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a graduate-level professional who specializes in applied behavior analysis to help children with autism and other developmental needs. Their primary role involves designing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans aimed at building communication, social skills, confidence, and independence.

Key responsibilities of a BCBA include:

• Assessing Behaviors: Conducting functional assessments and skill evaluations to understand a client’s specific needs.
• Creating Treatment Plans: Developing tailored intervention strategies and behavior-change procedures.
• Supervision: Overseeing the work of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other staff members who implement direct therapy sessions.
• Monitoring Progress: Using data analysis to track a client’s development and adjusting therapy plans to ensure real progress.
• Family Collaboration: Working closely with families in home or school settings to provide family-centered care and support.

In addition to clinical work, BCBAs must maintain their credentials by earning continuing education units to stay current with the latest standards and ethical considerations in the field.
